Robertson Genealogy - Scottish Marriages, sorted by spouses surname and given name. A RAW (unedited) computer-sort of entries for part of the database. Some surname variants and given names will not be grouped correctly. Now edited and sorted through spouses with surnames starting with the letter: "Q" + ROBERTSON and WATSON. The edited sections of this database are now the most accurate of the ROBERTSON marriage databases. The "location" database is now derived from this database.

Note: For anyone interested in preparing surname-specific databases, I use a modification of the method published by John Blair at http://blairgenealogy.com/oprs.html . An OPR text file can be imported into a spread sheet or database and then "sorted" to reveal relationships that may otherwise not be apparent.

"The register is for the most part written in a wretched hand and is most illiterate, but as it was kept by the gravediggers themselves nothing else could be expected. Some of the uncouth spellings have been retained and a glossary of these will be found in the Appendix ; ..."
