MISC. CORNISH WILL AND ADMINISTRATION ABSTRACTS

1602 through 1816

The following Wills and Admons were all abstracted by me personally. I have attempted to do as accurate a job as possible, but some of the early wills are difficult to read, so I cannot promise that all are mistake-free. If you discover a will that you need to prove a family connection, I urge you to order a copy of the original. Cornish Probate records can be ordered on microfilm thru the LDS Family History Centers. All LDS-filmed wills prior to 1714 are originals; the ones beginning at that date are clerk's copies. Because the filmed probate records are a bit difficult for the beginner, I have provided an explanation of what is available on my Guide to Cornish Probate Page.

All Wills & Admons below are listed in alphabetical order, first by surname, then by given name. Different spelling of surnames are treated as if all are spelled the same and are listed in order of given name; ie: James BENNETS is listed before Robert BENNATTS.

I have not attempted to index (beyond the following list of testators surnames), since valuable connections might be missed if using an index only. So browse and enjoy!
