Registration Districts in Middlesex

REGISTRATION DISTRICTS IN MIDDLESEX

The list below shows the civil registration districts in Middlesex between 1837 and 1965. The same districts were used to compile the censuses returns for the years 1851 to 1911.

For the purposes of these pages, "Middleseex" refers to:

the ancient county of Middlesex (1837–89)
the administrative county of Middlesex (1889–1965).

The county of Middlesex was abolished on 1.4.1965 to become parts of the counties of Greater London and Hertfordshire.

Ealing	Middlesex	1947	1965	Created 1.10.1947 out of Brentford, Uxbridge, Staines, and Willesden registration districts.
Edmonton	Middlesex	1837	1965	Abolished 1.4.1965 to become part of Enfield and Haringey registration districts.
